Week 13: Idea for Desa Sejahtera II

Hi everyone, today I was very happy Alhamdulillah because our group has finished making a video about our Sustainable development project. We poured our blood, sweat, and tears into this project (serious tone of voice haha), so Let's take a moment to acknowledge our effort who work really hard into this project by watching our video! Ok for this week, we have presented our idea of a way in helping the Desa sejahtera program to our lecturer, Dr. Suhaimi. We hope those ideas will work for Desa sejahtera, and can't wait to hand in hand in order to achieve the goal of this Desa sejahtera program. 

I have explained in detail about our idea in the previous post, but maybe for this blog I can add some more. We have also planned to do a sponsoring program like being a middle person to find a sponsor for the potential children there. As we know education is really important to each one of us, education helps children learn how to think critically, it enhances their creativity and imagination, it will expose them to new ideas, and it helps the child find the path to a career that they wish to pursue as an adult. Moreover, Increased access to education can contribute to reducing poverty.

 

Even Though, not every person without an education is living in extreme poverty. But most of those living in extreme poverty do lack a basic education. Those living below the poverty line will also be more likely to keep their children out of school, which means that their children will also have a greater chance of living in poverty. So with education, the child will have the skills and support their development of knowledge and abilities. They can then use these abilities and skills to earn higher incomes or further develop other basic assets.

In short, with education they can gain knowledge to improve their life in future because as the old saying goes, knowledge is  power.
